POWERCHUTE® TEAM - JEAN JACQUES RIVET

GOLF INNOVATOR

J.J. Rivet is a former competitive athlete, sport engineer and a world-renowned trailblazer in biomechanics applied to sports. Based on scientific methods and with over twenty five years of experience, J.J. has been a proven force on the European Tour and other major sporting circuits worldwide.

Currently, Rivet works with coaches and his staff to define programming to help elite players maximize their efficiency.

Rivet is a true pioneer in the sport of golf and continues to innovate, educate, and inspire golfers around the world.

PROFESSIONAL SPORTS BIOMECHANIST

JJ has developed two totally innovative concepts; the Biomecaswing concept and the Biomecasport concept. They combine the knowledge of applied biomechanics with the understanding of sporting gestures and the latest technologies in sports engineering.

In 1998, he created the Biomecaswing concept and installed his headquarter in 2005 in the magnificent golf resort of Terre Blanche.

Since 2008, Rivet co-created the European Tour Performance Institute, which optimizes the golfers' performance on the European tour. He is head of the Sports Performance Department of ETPI, in charge of Biomechanical Monitoring.

Rivet is also involved in developing new performance optimization concepts that led him to oversee Under Armour's innovation department for Europe.

For 7 years, he has also been the biomechanist of the French golf teams.

Rivet's endorsement of the POWERCHUTE® MACH II is rooted in science and further demonstrates why it is a must-have training aid for golfers of every level.

POWERCHUTE® MACH II BIOMECHANICAL TESTING

J.J. Rivet's testing, Rivet saw a significant increase in clubhead speed and carry distance. When testing a golfer using a 6 iron after exercises with the Powerchute, the golfer gained 8 mph in clubhead speed, more than 15.4lbs in max core compression force, as well as more than 2.86lbs in coiling force at backswing. This is a big improvement.

Kinetically speaking, after testing the same golfer with a driver, the golfer was able to synchronize very well, almost at mid downswing the maximum lag, which results in increasing two parameters; which are the release of the clubhead but also the accuracy to release the clubhead.

Smash factor and carry were improved at the end of the session, at peak golfer fatigue, the clubhead speed was not increasing, but the carry still gained more than 10 yards.
